Yasuo TAMURA is a member in the firm of Aoyama & Partners, Osaka, Japan since 1972 and is now a counsel of said firm. He holds a bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and worked for a pharmaceutical company in Japan for about ten years. He was qualified as a Patent Attorney in Japan in 1965.
He has handled various patent works in the fields of organic chemistry, pharmaceutics and biotechnology, including procedures for domestic and foreign patent applications, the preparation of expert opinion and litigation.
He is a member of the Patent Attorneys Association of Japan. He is also a member of APAA (Asian Patent Attorneys Association). He was a member of AIPPI in 1994~2009. He has lectured several times before members of the Japan Intellectual Property Association and The Patent Attorneys Association of Japan, has been involved in the training of newly-qualified patent attorneys, and has addressed foreign audiences.
