Mayumi KAWAMOTO represents trademark owners in application, opposition, invalidation and cancellation procedures for the Japanese Patent Office. She represents clients in infringement, unfair competition and administrative litigation related to trademarks. In addition, Mayumi advises on all aspects of trademark and related laws including trademark portfolio management, licensing and enforcement.

Before joining AOYAMA & Partners in 2009, Mayumi spent nine years at an Osaka based patent firm. Prior to that, she worked at a trading and marketing company doing product planning, branding and business licensing. She works closely with clients to assist their trademark strategy, protection and enforcement.
