Mr. Yamada earned his Master of Engineering (Costal Engineering) from Tokyo Metropolitan University. Before entering intellectual property business in 1984 with Aoyama & Partners, he worked for chemical and construction companies, managing various constructions of, for example, chemical plant, shield tunnel, and pneumatic caisson.
Mr. Yamada is an adjunct teacher for Osaka University Law Center and Osaka Institute of Technology Faculty of Intellectual Property, teaching intellectual property laws in Japan and the US.
Takuji YAMADA focuses his practice on drafting and prosecuting patent and design applications, amendments, and responses to the Office Actions for, in particular, the mechanical, electrical, and medical devices before the Japan Patent Office as a representative for the Japanese and foreign companies. He also prosecutes foreign patent and design applications in various countries and organizations including US, EP, CN, KR, and RU. His experience extends in representing Japanese and foreign companies in invalidity and infringement lawsuits in the Japanese district and IP courts.
